Applications:
The Atlas Antifade is developed for microarray experiments protecting dyes against photobleaching. The glycerol-containing (50%) solution is ready-to-use and recommended for most applications. Detected microarrays can be stored 1-2 weeks at +4ºC in dark.
Description:
When exposed to excitation light, all fluorescent dyes fade (photobleach). The photobleaching depends on intensity- and the duration of illumination. The photon output of a dye represents the average number of cycles of excitation followed by fluorescence emission that the dye undergoes before it is irreversibly photobleached.
The Atlas Antifade minimizes photobleaching of experimental samples. It allows the visualization of fluorophores across entire spectrum: DAPI, FITC, R6G, Cy2, Cy3, Rhodamine, TexasRed, Cy3.5, Cy5, Cy5.5 and Cy7)(Figure 1).
Atlas Antifade offers the same or higher quality results at a lower cost level compared to alternative products.
