Applications:
The Atlas Antifade CFM is a new version of the Atlas Antifade reagent that is optimized for confocal fluorescence microscopy protecting dyes against photobleaching (Figure 1). The glycerol-containing solution is ready-to-use and recommended for most applications. Samples mounted using Atlas Antifade CFM can be stored for one week at +4ºC in dark.
Description:
When exposed to excitation light, all fluorescent dyes fade (photobleach). The photobleaching depends on intensity- and the duration of illumination. The photon output of a dye represents the average number of cycles of excitation followed by fluorescence emission that the dye undergoes before it is irreversibly photobleached.
The Atlas Antifade CFM minimizes photobleaching of experimental samples. It allows the visualization of fluorophores across entire spectrum: DAPI, Cy2, Alexa 488, FITC, R6G, Cy3, Rhodamine, Alexa 555, Cy3.5, TexasRed, Cy5, Cy5.5 and Cy7.
Atlas Antifade CFM offers the same or higher quality results at a lower cost level compared to alternative products.
