Description:
Sodium Pyruvate can be added to cell culture media as an additional, easily accessible carbohydrate source in cultivation of cells. It is involved with amino acid metabolism and initiates the Kreb's cycle. Especially for rapid growing cells like some cancer cell lines additional sodium pyruvate can be added to the growth medium.

The 100 mM solution should be diluted 1:100 for most cell culture applications.

pH: 6.5 – 7.5
