0,025 % Trypsin (Porcine pancreas), 0,01 % EDTA*4Na in Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS), without Ca ²⁺ and Mg ²⁺.

Application:
Trypsin/EDTA solution is used to detach attachment-dependent cells from a cell culture surface.

Description:
Trypsin is a porcine pancreas-derived enzyme for cell dissociation and for hydrolytic degradation of proteins and peptides. EDTA is chelating agent with gentle dissociative properties that acts to increase enzymatic efficiency by neutralizing calcium and magnesium ions. These ions enchance cell-cell adhesion and obscure the peptide bonds on which trypsin acts.

The concentration of trypsin necessary to archive this can vary and is dependent on variety of factors. Trypsin can cause cellular damage thus exposure to cells should be kept to a minimum duration.

pH: 7.0 – 7.6

Storage conditions:-20°C

Thawing: Solution can either be thawed in a 37°C water bath or in refrigerator overnight at 2-8°C.
